Solidarity Awards

Solidarity awards are for scholars who cannot participate in the AILA World Congress without financial support. The award is made possible by the generous donation of individuals, businesses, and organizations to the Solidarity Fund.


Kinds of awards

Full awards: they covering reasonable travel costs, accommodation and conference fees
Travel awards: they cover reasonable travel costs and conference fees.


Who can apply?

Scholars, whose paper has been accepted for presentation at the AILA World Congress, and who are not supported by their institution or government are eligible to apply for a solidarity award.


When can you apply?

The deadline for submitting an application for a Solidarity Award is usually 1 moth after prospective presenters have been notified by the host of the forthcoming AILA World Congress.


What are the criteria?

(1) Paper accepted by the Congress organizers.
(2) Academic merit or promise.
(3) A financially disadvantaged situation.


How do you apply?
