Organization
AILA is governed by an elected Executive Board, made up from scholars and practitioners from many countries, and by an International Committee with representatives from each of the regular affiliates of AILA.
The Executive Board (EB) is composed of:
- a Past President
- a President
- a Secretary General
- a Vice-President
- a Treasurer
- a Publications Coordinator
- a Research Networks Coordinator
- up to four Members-at-Large
The duties of the EB officers are defined in the Bylaws of AILA. In general, AILA officers are expected to cover their own expenses, attend the annual AILA meetings regularly and oversee the work of their office or committee at and between the AILA meetings.
