The second annual International Conference on Multilingualism and Multilingual Education (ICMME 2018) will be held in New Westminster (Metro Vancouver), BC, Canada, on May 31- June 2, 2018.  The conference is organized by MultiLingNet, and hosted by Douglas College, Canada.

The conference considers all aspects of the linguistic and sociolinguistic competences and practices of bi-/multilingual speakers who cross existing social and linguistic boundaries, adopting or adapting themselves to new and overlapping linguistic spaces.

We invite papers in all areas of research in bi-/multilingualism, whether or not linked directly to the overarching conference theme, including, but not limited to, linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, clinical linguistics, education, bi- /multilingual societies.

The 36th International Conference of the Spanish Society for Applied Linguistics (AESLA 2018), “Applied Linguistics and knowledge transfer: employability, internationalization and social challenges”, will be held at the University of Cadiz (SPAIN), 19-21 APRIL 2018.

AESLA 2018 is organised by scholars and researchers from the Department of French and English Philology and the Research Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Cadiz. The Conference will be held next April 19-21, 2018 at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, located in the heart of the city centre. This year’s focus will be the ways in which Applied Linguistics, a well-established area of study and research, can contribute to enhance economic growth and societal wellbeing by integrating employability, internationalization and knowledge transfer issues across higher education. In this way, AESLA 2018 aims to raise awareness of the significant contribution of Applied Linguistics to these three key issues and explore the social challenges which scholars, researchers and students need to address when trying to build successful and sustainable collaboration between universities, business and the public sector in national, transnational and international contexts.

AESLA 2018 invites scholars to submit their papers, posters, and round table proposals in any of the two official languages of the conference: Spanish or English. Submissions may be related to the conference main theme or fall within the scope of any of the following thematic panels:
