On 25 June 2025, the EMEVEDI ReN and the Inclusive Foreign Language Education ReN inaugurated the first AILA ReN joint webinar, Thinking Inclusivity in Applied Linguistics. The session invited ReN co-convenors to reflect on how equity, diversity, and inclusion— approached through a decolonial lens—are influencing current research and practice. Coveners Marina Orsini-Jones, Mirjam Hauck, Carlos Alberto Hildeblando Júnior, Luciana Cabrini Simões Calvo, Elena Gómez-Parra and Joanna Pfingsthorn brought together voices from a wide range of cultural, institutional, and geographical contexts.
