International Conference “Applied linguistics – transformative trends in the Asia-Pacific region – APCAL HANU” (28-30 Nov 2023, Hanoi University, Vietnam)
APPLIED LINGUISTICS - TRANSFORMATIVE TRENDS IN THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION
In order to connect domestic and international researchers, practitioners, and PhD students to share their research and teaching experiences in the transformational trend of applied linguistics, Hanoi University has cooperated with the Applied Linguistics Association of Australia (ALAA) to organise the first International Conference "Applied linguistics - transformative trends in the Asia-Pacific region - APCAL HANU", which is held from 28-30 November 2023 at Hanoi University, Hanoi, Vietnam.
The aim of the conference is to: (1) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Vietnam; (2) to suggest future visions for and aspirations of applied linguistics in Asia-Pacific contexts, and (3) to foster closer friendships and networks among researchers and practitioners whose work involve applied linguistics relevant to Asia-Pacific contexts or students. The conference invites researchers, practitioners, and PhD students to bring the present functionalities, introspections, current trends, and anticipate future vision of applied linguistics in the Asia-Pacific region.
