AILA Europe’s strategic partnership with the Council of Europe
At the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, AILA serves in an advisory and participatory capacity when called upon concerning issues where a general applied linguistics perspective is considered valuable. For example, AILA played a key role when the European Centre for Modern Languages of the Council of Europe (ECML) established its multi-institutional Professional Network Forum in 2009. Another example of AILA’s direct involvement is a Launching Conference on „Building Inclusive Societies through Enriching Plurilingual and Pluricultural Education“ in May 2018.
