The Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching International Conference (ALLT 2025) took place at Zayed
University, Dubai on 2–3 May 2025, with over 400 participants from across the Gulf and wider MENA
region. The conference serves as the major link uniting applied linguistics and language teaching
scholars in the Middle East region.

The conference featured a strong programme of presentations and workshops, and for the first time
included a keynote speaker from China, reflecting a continued commitment to diversity and broader
international engagement. The conference serves as the major link uniting applied linguistics and

for exchange across institutions, with wide regional participation and strong interest in future
collaboration.

Proceedings from ALLT 2025 are published by Zayed University Press, helping to amplify regional
