AILA Ibero-America
AILA Ibero-America (AIALA) was created in 2020 with the support of the AILA national affiliates AMLA (Mexico), ALAB (Brazil), AESLA (Spain) and AAAL (USA). AIALA is represented by one delegate from each of the national affiliates – and from associated countries where there is no AILA national affiliate yet.
AIALA a) fosters the creation of new AILA national affiliates in the region, b) promotes multilingual collaboration in the region and beyond, and c) increases the representation of Ibero-American applied linguists and languages in the field. In doing so, it reflects the linguistic diversity of the Ibero-American region and of AILA.
